OVMA State Internet Site
Home Page The Umpqua Chapter of the Oregon Veterns Motorcycle Association is centered around Roseburg, Oregon. We draw our name from the local Umpqua Indian Tribe, as do the Umpqua Valley and the north and south Umpqua Rivers. Our members live up and down Interstate 5 in Douglas County. The membership of the Umpqua Chapter is made up of men and women who have served in the military service from World War II, Korea, Vietnam, The Gulf War and the current conflicts in Iraq and Afganistan. The things that brings us together as a group are our interest in motorcycles, our mutual experiences as members of the military and a desire to help other veterans and active duty members of the armed services. In short, we love motorcycles, we care about the veterans in our community and we enjoy each others company. We are more interested in the veteran than what he or she rides. Our members ride anything they choose from full dress Harley Davidsons to Honda Rebels. Our members have Rat Bikes and the latest in Sport Touring bikes. Yamaha, Kawasaki, Susuki, BMW, Victory, Triumph. From cruisers to choppers. One member will show up on his Harley one day and his Hayabusa the next. (we have no rule that requires owning only one motorcycle.)
